Foreign nationals applying for an Indonesian visa or stay permit can now check the progress of their application quickly and independently. Thanks to the Directorate General of Immigration’s online service, applicants can conveniently monitor their status anytime, from anywhere.
To get started, visit the official website at evisa.imigrasi.go.id. Once you’re on the homepage, look for the “Track Your Application” option located under the Home menu.
Clicking on this option will take you to a page where you’ll need to select the type of application you’re checking—either Visa or Stay Permit. It’s important to choose the correct category, as the system will display information based on your selection. If you’re applying for a visa for the first time, select Visa. For extensions—such as a Visa on Arrival, Visit Visa, or Limited Stay Visa—choose Stay Permit.
You’ll then be prompted to enter your Register Number and Passport Number. These are essential to retrieve your application details. According to Tato Juliadin Hidayawan, Director of Visas and Travel Documents, the register number can be found to the left of your name on the application summary page after submission.
Once you’ve entered the required information, simply click Submit. The system will then display the current status of your application, including which stage it’s in—whether it’s under review, approved, or awaiting further processing.
If you encounter technical difficulties while checking your status, there are steps you can take for assistance. Take a screenshot of the error, note your register number, passport number, and a brief description of the issue, and send these details to the Immigration Helpdesk. The Helpdesk can be accessed from the chat icon at the bottom-right corner of the homepage. You or your guarantor will need to log in with your credentials to receive support.
This digital service is part of the Directorate General of Immigration’s efforts to enhance transparency, convenience, and efficiency in the immigration process. With just a few clicks, applicants and their guarantors can stay informed—no need to visit an immigration office just to check on an application.
